동 사 의 종 류
1. 1형식 문형: S + V (완전 자동사)
* I go to church on sundays.
* Nowadays farming doesn't pay.
◇ pay는 타동사로 쓰이면 지불하다, 청산하다의 뜻.
자동사로 쓰이면 보답하다, 수지가 맞다의 뜻.
◇ be가 완전자동사로 쓰이면 존재하다, 있다.
◇ do가 완전자동사로 쓰이면 편리
(1) 보통명사(Common Noun)
같은 종류의 동물 . 사물에 두루 쓰이는 명사로, 대부분 일정한 모양을 갖추고 있기 때문에 셀 수 있는 명사이다. boy, pencil, table, flower 등.
ex 1) I have an egg. (단수) 2) He has two eggs. (복수)
(2) 고유명사(Proper Noun)
인명 . 지명이나 특정한 사물의 이름으로 쓰이는 명사로서, 셀 수 없는
名 詞 (Noun) Ⅰ
1. 명사의 종류: 고유, 보통, 집합, 물질, 추상명사
① 셀 수 있는 명사 : 단,복수 가능
many, few로 수식. 보통, 집합명사.
② 셀 수 없는 명사 : 단,복수 없음.
much, little 이 수식. 물질, 고유, 추상명사.
2. 종족 대표 : 어떤 종족의 전체.

A. 문장(sentence), 절(clause), 구(phrase)
1. 문장(Sentences)
- 주어와 동사를 포함한 단어들이 모여 어떤 완전한 하나의 생각
(a complete thought)을 나타내는 독립적인 단위이다.
Our university has its own broadcasting station.
2. 절(Clause) : 역시 주어와 동사를 구비하고 있어 문장과 비슷한 성
gerund-participle or past participle form. This is because these verb-forms can occur after be in the progressive and passive constructions. Followings are examples of this case.
a. They are entertaining. b. The clock was broken.
In case of a, the sentence has two meanings due to the ambiguous use of entertaining. When we regard that word as a gerund-participle form of the verb
form gerunds, a type of verbal nouns, from verbs
ex) the making of the film
③ used like adjectives, describing a person or thing as doing something
ex) It was worth it to see all those smiling faces.
④- ing is added to verbs to form uncountable nouns referring to activities.
ex) Gardening is very popular in Britain.
5. Restriction : 앞에 올 수 있는 품사는 동사임
gerund) of words:
OOO likes reading books, writing essays, and studying grammar.
With infinitive phrases:
OOO likes to read books, write essays, and study grammar.
OOO likes to read books, to write essays, and to study grammar.
⊙Note: You can use "to" before all the verbs in a sentence or only before the first one.
Do not mix forms.
